A hybrid class for beginners and older adults combining yoga with a chair and seated mindfulness meditation practice.
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. As we age, our muscles tend to tighten and we may begin to feel joint pain and more limited range of motion. With regular yoga practice, however, practitioners may find everyday activities become easier as their joints become more flexible, muscles become stronger, and balance improves.
Class concludes with mindfulness meditation to help stabilize the mind and reduce feelings of anxiety that often accompany the natural aging process.
